Neha Kakkar is a popular Indian playback singer, dancer, and actress. She participated in the reality singing show ‘Indian Idol season 2’ in the year 2006 and was the most popular contestant. The album ‘Neha The Rock Star’ was launched by her in 2008; Meet Brothers composed the music on this album.

Family Background and Personal Life

Neha was born on June 6 1988 to Niti and Rishikesh Kakkar. She began singing when she was only 4 years old. Her brother is renowned singer Sonu Kakkar. She considers Sonu as her biggest inspiration.

Neha’s entire childhood was devoted to Maata Rani and at that time she was the most famous young singer in Delhi. Neha was studying in class 11 at New Holy Public School in Delhi when she took part in Indian Idol 2. Neha is currently not in any relationship and is single.

Career

Neha’s singing career began after she participated in Indian Idol 2. She is considered as one of the best singers and performers in the country. Her journey to this stage of her career began with ‘jagraatas’ and peaked with the release of a solo song in English in her debut album. Her genres are varied and widespread ranging from electronic and film soundtrack to hip hop, pop, jazz, and rock.

Neha has also done over 1000 live shows. Her unrelenting energy and her awesome performances on stage have resulted in her getting the title of Rock Star and the Indian Shakira.
